Registered Social Worker, Qualifying Psychotherapist

Individuals 16+

Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about where to turn next. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, addiction, or major life transitions, reaching out for support is a courageous first step. I believe everyone deserves a space where they can simply be themselves, without judgment, pressure, or expectations. My goal is to create a warm, compassionate environment where you feel safe to share your story, explore difficult emotions, and move toward meaningful change at your own pace.

Counselling is not about having all the answers or showing up in a particular way. It is about creating space to understand yourself more deeply, recognize your strengths, and develop the tools needed to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. Together, we will work to build a stronger relationship with yourself while fostering healthier connections with the people who matter most.

Using an individualized, strengths-based approach grounded in mindfulness, I tailor therapy to your unique experiences and goals. I believe every person's journey is different, and therapy should reflect that. My approach integrates evidence-based interventions with genuine curiosity, compassion, and respect, creating an environment where growth feels both achievable and sustainable.

Professional Credentials and Experience

  • Registered Social Worker with over 11 years of experience supporting individuals experiencing mental health and addiction concerns.
  • Completing my Master of Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University.
  • Bachelor of Social Work through the University of Calgary.
  • Extensive experience working with Alberta Health Services and Recovery Alberta, supporting individuals living with moderate to severe mental health concerns within multidisciplinary healthcare settings.
  • Previous experience supporting adults living with disabilities, facilitating educational programming for youth with disabilities, and collaborating with community partners to improve client outcomes.
  • Volunteer experience with Free Counselling Canada and ongoing involvement in community organizations, youth sports, and family-focused initiatives.

My Approach

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, empowering, and practical. My work is rooted in a person-centred, strengths-based philosophy while drawing from Family Systems Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Gestalt Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we will build on your existing strengths while developing new perspectives and skills that support lasting growth.

I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD symptoms, addiction, parenting challenges, blended family communication, body image concerns, mood regulation difficulties, and patterns of unhelpful or extreme thinking.

Beyond the Professional Realm

Outside of the therapy room, I find balance through spending time outdoors with my Treeing Walker Coonhound, Ivy, exploring hiking trails, and enjoying family adventures. I also enjoy strength training, baking homemade muffins, making granola, and embracing opportunities to connect with nature. These experiences remind me of the importance of slowing down, finding joy in everyday moments, and maintaining balance; values that naturally extend into my work with clients.

One quote that continues to guide both my personal life and professional practice is:

"Happiness is found in three things: letting go of what was, enjoying what is, and having faith in what will be."
